~ Please donate and support access to affordable herbal medicine ~
For the price of a latte, your contribution (no matter how small - every dollar counts!) supports people having access to herbal medicine, regardless of means.
About
Tiny House Apothecary is where I see any clients that would prefer an in-person consultation as opposed to meeting virtually. If you are having the sniffles of any kind or have recently been exposed to someone that is sick, please book a virtual appointment instead.
Is the apothecary open to the public?
Currently, the apothecary space is just open to clients booking in-person consultations (either for herbalism or coaching). A few select dates will be posted that will be open to public for shopping and community tea times (subscribe to my newsletter for updates).
Do you sell bulk herbs or tinctures?
Not at this time. I found the proper licensing for becoming a product maker to be too complicated, and also not 100% aligned with my values of making herbal medicine financially accessible to people that need it. I partner with Mxed Greens Apothecary and Railyard Apothecary to fill specific formulas for my herbal clients, and find that it’s a system that works really well for all parties involved. I’m currently raising funds to create a donation-based (as in, free if you can’t afford it!) apothecary with a variety of herbal medicine to share with folks in southern VT that will be launched in 2025.
My GoFundMe fundraiser is posted above. Thank you for your donations!
What are you selling?
I am starting to carry a small sampling of amazing, hand-picked goods from other local herbalists and makers that you can peruse before/after your in-person consultation, or during one of our public shopping days (announced via my newsletter).
Accessibility
Currently, the tiny house is unable to accommodate if you are using a wheelchair or have mobility challenges that prevent you from getting up the steps into the house. Hopefully one day this will change!
The tiny house is located at the end of a long dirt driveway in rural Ludlow, VT. You can park anywhere in the main driveway area where the other cars are. We are openly BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ friendly, and strive to cultivate a welcoming environment. If you have experiences or identities that make rural environments feel unsafe to you, please let me know if there is anything specific I can do to support you in feeling comfortable for our consultation.
Bathroom: there is no bathroom in the tiny house, but clients may use the bathroom in our home (all genders, single-toilet room with a lockable door). We have extra tampons and pads in the indoor bathroom if folks need them. In the warmer months there is also an outhouse for folks to use if preferred.
Other details: The space is heated by a woodstove in colder months. There are no synthetic fragrances used anywhere in the space. I clean surfaces with Seventh Generation products and use a very gentle aromatherapy mist that I made with organic essential oils to keep things fresh. I will provide water and tea during your visit - if you are someone that needs a snack during sessions, please bring one of your own (I have food in the main house to tide you over in case of a blood sugar emergency though, don’t worry!). We are parked right next to the home that I share with my partner and are on a busy homestead, so you may see other folks coming and going around the house. Curtains may be closed for privacy.
If you have any other accessibility concerns or requests, please contact me.
